Bdna achieves Cyber Essentials Plus certification
We’re pleased to announce that Bdna UK including BdnaTec (Aust) Pty Ltd have achieved Cyber Essentials Plus certification, the highest level of the UK Government-backed Cyber Essentials scheme.
The certification applies to the shared IT environment that supports the development and delivery of the Bdna Public Safety Platform.
What is Cyber Essentials Plus?
Cyber-attacks affect organisations of every size and across every sector.
Cyber Essentials Plus is an advanced, UK Government-endorsed cyber security certification designed to help organisations protect against the most common online threats.
While the standard Cyber Essentials certification is based on a self-assessment, Cyber Essentials Plus includes an independent technical audit. An accredited assessor verifies through hands-on technical testing and vulnerability assessment that essential cyber security controls have been implemented and are operating effectively.
The assessment covers five core areas of cyber security:
- Firewalls and boundary protection – helping prevent unauthorised access from the internet.
- Secure configuration – reducing opportunities for cyber criminals to exploit devices and software.
- User access controls – ensuring only authorised users can access systems and information.
- Malware protection – detecting and preventing malicious software.
- Security updates and patch management – keeping systems protected against known vulnerabilities.
Together, these controls provide a recognised baseline for cyber resilience and help organisations defend against the most common internet-based cyber-attacks.
