Founders crossed paths while working on a large-scale policing system implementation, forming a partnership grounded in real operational delivery.

bdna expanded its work across advisory, delivery and technology implementation, supporting organisations operating in complex, high-stakes environments, particularly across public safety and health.

Vissafe innovation

Innovation took centre stage with the launch of Vissafe, a portable IP CCTV venture. This experience sharpened bdna’s approach to product thinking, scalability and operating in fast-moving, mission-critical contexts.

bdna responded to client needs by providing forensic-register implementation and support services.

The bdna forensic-register

A defining milestone: bdna acquired the intellectual property of the forensic-register from the Queensland Police Service. Already proven across Australian policing and forensic laboratories, the platform became fully owned and evolved by bdna. We modernised the architecture, expanded capability and accelerated continuous improvement in close collaboration with users.

This work expanded into what is now the bdna Public Safety Platform: a set of products that bring together forensics, evidence management, frontline submissions, biometrics, intelligence capabilities and governance workflows into a single, secure system covering all touchpoints from crime scene to court.

bdna began expanding the platform internationally. Interest from agencies overseas has reinforced what two decades of real-world work has shown us: in environments where uptime, integrity and accountability are non-negotiable, unified platforms that connect frontline teams, laboratories and intelligence units matter.
